SportSims.net is holding a Referral Contest and awarding cash prizes! From December 1 to Super Bowl Sunday, those who refer the most new members to sign up and take ownership of a team from can win BIG! Click here to register. All you have to do is send referral emails to as many people as you can and ask them to sign up and play at SportSims.net. Your chances to win depend on how many people sign up using your referral link from the email. So, the more the better, but please do not cheat. We have ways of exposing those who are less than honorable. Also, your referrals will be counted ONLY from the contest period starting December 1. Any previous referrals will not be counted. That means only referrals made on and after December 1, 2009 will be valid for the purpose of this competition. We do not have any restrictions or obligations for the number of teams your referred members need to own - one is all it takes to qualify. For each friend that signs up, points will be awarded on a tiered points system: 5 points for joining, 10 points for acquiring a team in the Classic Leagues and 30 points for acquiring a team in the Salary Leagues. Contest Rules: 1. This contest is open to all members of SportSims.net. However, participants must be 18 years of age or older and United States citizens. Employees of SportSims.net, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each may not enter. 2. New users who sign up cannot sign up using a proxy server or have the same IP address as the referring member. They must use their own Internet connection to sign up. Proxy registrations or duplicate IP addresses will not be counted in your total and can lead to the disqualification of the referring member citing Unfair Means/cheating in the competition. The decision of SportSims.net's staff in this regard will be final. 3. SportSims.net reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other causes beyond the control of SportSims.net corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the contest or lack of responce to the contest. SportSims.net Staff reserves the rights to change/modify any rules of the contest and the contest itself at anytime, with or without prior notification. 4. Winners will be notified by mail, e-mail, or phone within 7 days. Winners must complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and release within 5 days or prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Winners agree that all prizes are being provided "as is". Please allow up to 4 weeks after the contest end date for delivery of the prizes. SportSims.net will make every effort for safe delivery but takes no responsibility for any damage/losses during transit. 5. SportSims.net makes no representation or warranty regarding any prize. Prize is not transferable and no prize substitution is available, except that SportSims.net reserves the right to substitute cash or a similar prize of equal or greater value should the prize be generally unavailable at contest end. 6. The decision of the SportSims.net staff will be final and binding. 7. No Purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. This contest is governed under U.S. law.
