If you cannot see a team's Draft Picks on the Trade Roster, then that team's owner has not signed up for the season yet. In SportSims an owner must sign up for a season in order to trade away picks for that season.

There are several reasons your roster could be re-sorted:
1. You don't have 55 players (Not counting IR)
2. You have a Major or worse injured player on your Depth Chart.
3. One of your Depth Chart slots is empty.

These list are used when you do not make a manual pick in the LIVE Draft. The two lists do not work together, they are separate processes.
With the Hotlist you can set up your draft board with players you would like to draft and you can rank them in the order you would take them in.
With the Draft Plan, you can set up a more general draft board. Here you can rank your position needs and designate the talent level you are looking for at each position.
When the team's timer runs out the Draft Picker follows the following steps:
1. Check for Manual pick, if none then...
2. Check for Highest Player on your Hotlist. If no players (left) on Hotlist, then...
3. Uses Draft Plan looking for highest match of Players left in Draft Pool.
Each of the these steps are independent of one another.

The All-Sims Award formulas use several criteria, including team performance, individual performance and other statistical factors.
Defensive stats, especially tackles, are the most misleading in all of sports. High totals in tackles, sacks and interceptions are misleading because the worse your team and defense are the more plays the defense faces. Therefore, the players on the team get more chances to record tackles, sacks and interceptions. Our formulas adjust for this statistical anomaly.

Well we do, but we don't. (Thanks for clearing that up, right?) Every player on SportSims.net is based on the actual statistics of an actual historical NFL player. When viewing your Roster, you can click the link to 'Switch to Historical Player View' to see the pro football player your guy is based on.

Injuries in SportSims happen between the games. We have designed this because of the nature of our game. Since you set up your depth chart and strategy before the game and have no direct control while it runs, the design decision was made to not have in-game injuries. So the team you have going in is the team you have throughout the game. So while this is one aspect of the game that is not realistic, we felt this concession to the Owners was needed.

After the SimBowl we age the players by one year and recalculate the Current Ratings. If they don't have enough Experience to overcome being a year older or they have enough injuries in their careers then their rating will drop.
This point drop is easier to gain back than the original development was. (IE they will regain these lost points quickly).

SportSims strongly suggests using Internet Explorer. As a small developer we need to budget our time and money carefully, there we had to develop for the most popular browser. And right now that is Microsoft's IE. While Firefox and Safari work fine with most of our pages, we cannot guarantee all of them.

All the Leagues start on Wednesdays. Once a league has Owners in it, we activate it on next Wednesday.
In the meantime, you will be able to do everything an Owner in a active league can: Trade, Scout for the Draft, set up your Draft Plan and Hotlist, sign Free Agents and set up your Depth Chart. In effect this just extends the off-season for a few days.

Three things will happen:
1. You won't be able to bid on current free agents.
2. You won't be able to re-sign any of your players whose contracts will expire at the end of the season.
3. You will have to pay a Luxury Tax on top of the salaries.

The Classic Leagues are the ‘original’ Franchise Football Dynasty game at SportSims.net where you select your team, draft, trade, train players, and play a 16-game season plus the playoffs – all for free. The Classic Leagues display ads from third-party advertisers.
The Salary Leagues have all of the exciting features of the Standard Leagues, plus the added fun of bidding for Free Agents and operating under a Salary Cap. Owners pay their players salaries with SimPoints, the currency at SportSims. (For more information about SimPoints, see that topic in the FAQ.) The Salary Leagues do not display any third-party advertising within the game.

When you find a Free Agent(s) you would like to bid on, click on the Bid on Player link on his Player Information Page. After reviewing the player’s minimum and current bids, type your maximum bid in the My Maximum Bid box. We'll place bids on your behalf in increments of 0.1 SimPoints. We'll bid only as much as necessary to make sure you remain the high bidder, up to your maximum amount.
At any time you can increase your maximum bid. Please note, you must have enough SimPoints banked to cover the Maximum Bids of the combined total of the bids you're winning. Bidding on Free Agents in the pre-season ends on Day 6. After that, Free Agents are available for 24 hours after appearing on the Free Agent List.

The salaries are processed on Day 8 of your schedule. After signing players and making cuts on the Finalize Roster page, you will be directed to the Team Salaries page where your Players’ annual Salaries will be paid out of your banked SimPoints. If you need additional SimPoints to pay your Salaries, you will find a link where you can add more.
