Colts Rally To Defeat Bears In Super Bowl XLI

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will stage another exciting fourth quarter comeback to win Super Bowl XLI capturing the franchises second Super Bowl victory since the Baltimore Colts were champs in Super Bowl V.

The Colts will rally with 17 fourth-quarter points to defeat the Chicago Bears 30-24 in Super Bowl XLI Sunday in Miami.

Online game simulation site SportSims.net used the 2006-07 season and playoff statistics of the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears, and simulated their head-to-head meeting in Super Bowl XLI 20,000 times to develop the final score and game stats. After the 20,000 simulations, the Colts win 61.8 percent of the time by an average score of 35-23. The Bears win 38.2 percent of the time with an average score of 35-26.

The key for the Bears to pull an upset is their Red Zone defense, Sportsims.net President Steve Olson said. When the Colts get inside the 20 yard line, the Bears have to hold them to field goals for any chance of winning.

David Holt, who developed the program used by Sportsims.net, added, Ultimately, the key to this game will be if the Bears can stop Peyton Manning in the fourth quarter something other defenses have been unable to do all season.

Since Super Bowl XXII, Holts program is 14-5 in the Super Bowl predictions. SportSims.nets Super Bowl prediction is for entertainment only and not for gambling purposes.
