SportSims.net Predicts week 3 Winning NFL Playoff Teams

01/20/2010
SportSims.net, an online Franchise Football simulation game, used their technologically advanced simulation engine to predict this week’s winning NFL Playoff Teams.

Two NFL playoff games will be played this weekend: the New York Jets at the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings at the New Orleans Saints. According to SportSims.net, the Saints and the Colts will be emerging to face off in this year’s Super Bowl.

SportSims.net projects the results by simulating both of the upcoming games 10,000 times using the simulation engine from SportSims.net’s online Franchise Football game. SportSims.net’s SimEngine uses the actual player and team stats and uses them to calculate each of the individual matchups in the game, producing the most accurate results possible.

Jets vs. Colts. In 10,000 simulations, SportSims.net predicts that the Colts will win the matchup an even 50% of the time against the Jets. The closest game ever simulated in SportSims.net’s history, the game’s final score was 23-20 in overtime. “This game is strength versus strength and weakness versus weakness and this is the closest game we have ever simmed. The first one predicted to go into over time,” said Steve Olson, SportSims.net President.
