SportSims Predicts Winning NFL Wildcard Teams

01/04/2011

January 4, 2011, Defiance, OH — SportSims.net, an online Franchise Football simulation game, uses their technologically advanced simulation engine each year to predict the NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl.  Here are SportSims.net’s predictions for this week’s NFL Playoffs.

Four NFL playoff games will be played this weekend: the New York Jets at the Indianapolis Colts, the Baltimore Ravens at the Kansas City Chief, the Green Bay Packers at the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints at the Seattle Seahawks.  According to SportSims.net, the Jets, the Ravens, the Eagles and the Saints will all be celebrating victories this weekend.

SportSims.net projects the results by simulating the upcoming games 10,000 times using their proprietary simulation engine from SportSims.net’s online Franchise Football game.  SportSims.net’s SimEngine uses the actual player and team stats and to calculate each of the individual matchups in the game, producing the most accurate results possible.

Jets vs. Colts.  In 10,000 simulations, SportSims.net predicts that the Jets will win the matchup 55.1% of the time against the Colts.  The game’s final score was 24-20.  “Even with Payton Manning, the Colts are just too injured, especially when facing a really good Jets team,” said Steve Olson, SportSims.net President.
